Reminiscent of an enchanting fairytale, Annie Byrne of Aislinn Events designed this luxe inspiration shoot at the majestic Adare Manor in Ireland. An amazing team came together to create the elaborate display of paper goods, florals, décor, dessert and more that perfectly reflected the countryside estate setting. Annie wanted to give a general sense of lushness- warm and a bit smoky with natural textures of leather, fur and pheasant feathers. Feast your eyes on the inspiring photos by Kristen Booth.

Cream-toned card stock and gold scripted paper goods by Petite Paper gave a regal impression of age. The color and vibrance of robust jewel-toned florals by Leona Fitzmaurice Lynch just pours thru the photographs. Annie played on the backdrop by styling the model as the “lady of the manor,” complete with oversized estate jewelry by Knightsbridge Boutique, furs, and feather accessories by Karen Flannery Art. The flowing, feminine gowns were provided by DeStafford Bridal. These opposing concepts of soft beauty against strong architectural bones drove this inspiration shoot.

The tablescape and dessert table were an abundant bouquet of rich colors, including pomegranates poised on each place setting ready for the feast and merriment. The four tiered cream fondant cake by Cloudberry Bakery was delicately painted with copper, orange, and golds to create oversize flowers. I’m just loving the painted feathers on the cupcakes too!

Now there’s a photoshoot… Thanks to this extraordinarily talented team of vendors abroad!

This is sooo exciting!! Justin Alexander has released an exclusive look at their ‘preview to 2013′ just for our readers! They describe the collection as providing a glance of chic 1920’s, the timelessness of the 1950’s and the originality of today. Distinct embellishments enrich each design to make this collection a work of art. Ornate trims, mille-Feuille layering and hand-pleated fans are just a few of the incredible style elements featured in the collection. We’re totally in love with the rich sophistication, glamour, and texture of these gowns… and best of all, they are moderately priced, so you’ll just look like a million dollars.

You’ll have to wait a few months to see these gowns in stores, but if you’re in love, be sure to bookmark this post! In the meantime, see more from Justin Alexander in the dress gallery…
Happy Weekend!

Win A Couture Headpiece From Jannie Baltzer

Sophie says – After wishfully looking at all the beautiful headpieces I have spent the last half an hour dreaming about which one I adore the most- the stunning Vivian. Our wedding has a crystal and pearl theme, so the Presiosa pearls and crystals will accent my dress beautifully. This year for christmas my Grandad gave me some gorgeous pearl earrings which I plan on wearing on our wedding day, and I think the Vivian headpiece would compliment them perfectly. I want to say thank you to Jannie Baltzer for giving us this amazing opportunity. It really would be a dream come true to win. Sophie. X

We are so proud to share with you our next designer wedding dress Lindee Daniel. Specializing in the creation of a line of unique wedding gowns, with a firm commitment from AA to all natural things and give back to the community. Lindee graciously donated 5 percent of its annual turnover of view strongly at-risk youth in Los Angeles. What a wonderful feeling to know that your wedding dress makes a real difference in someone’s life. Its exquisite gowns feature exotic fabrics made of wild silk, which can save millions of silk worms to be killed for use in luxury fabric. It also uses organic cotton, safe non-toxic dyes and process free of chemicals and synthetic and its collections are handmade in the USA. We admire his commitment to the earth and its community. You can see his entire collection by clicking here.
In Lindee As a designer myself, and obsessive about all things natural, I have always felt that the fashion conscious creation is crucial and ensures the environment, consumer health and the health of millions of people in the workforce of fashion around the world are protected and respected throughout the process. This is not an easy task for decades, we have worked to build a production model that exploits the complex human and planet in the name of profit – and for fashion, profit has never been better. This is an industry of one billion dollars with huge margins, but also with horror stories carefully concealed that rarely meet in the public eye.

We have some super sweet treats for all you Do It Yourself fans made with love by Erica O’Brien Cake Design and Brooke Allison Photography. These ultra stylish DIY Ombre Sugar Hearts could easily be used at a fabulous bridal shower, for wedding favors, as a special surprise for your sweetie on Valentine’s Day or even decor for the cutest wedding cake in the world.
What you’ll need
Two cups sugar (or more, depending on the number of colors you want), divided
4 teaspoons (or more) egg white or liquid meringue (1 teaspoon of meringue powder mixed with 1 tablespoon warm water)
Paste food coloring (found at local craft store)
Large cutting board, baking sheet or other flat surface, lined with Silpat or parchment paper
and
Baking sheet lined with Silpat or parchment paper
Ateco aspic cutters or small cookie cutters
Additional:
Small and medium bowls | spatulas | rolling pin | measuring spoons | measuring cups | ziplock bags | butter | knife
Optional:
3 x 4-inch treat bags | colored ribbon | cake to decorate

Step 1.
Place ½ cup sugar in medium bowl. Add a small amount of paste food coloring (we used a combination of Wilton’s Rose and Violet), and mix thoroughly. This will be your darkest color. (Hint: A little goes a long way and will darken once liquid is added in next step.) Add more if needed until desired color is achieved. Add 1 teaspoon egg white or meringue liquid and mix thoroughly until the mixture resembles wet sand. Be careful not to add too much liquid or you will dissolve the sugar.
Step 2.
Empty contents onto Silpat or parchment lined cutting board or baking sheet. Spread with hand or spatula and pat down, then roll over mixture with rolling pin to compress. Ideally, the flattened mixture should be as compact as possible and level, about ¼”. Press heart cutter into mixture and lift up. Place hearts on lined baking sheet. If cutter will not release heart, gently tap with the back of a butter knife. Repeat 10-20 times or as many as desired. If hearts will not hold their shape, add more egg white or meringue liquid in small increments and mix thoroughly. If sugar builds up in cutter, rinse with warm water and pat dry before continuing. Pour remaining colored sugar back into bowl and proceed to Step 3.
Step 3.
Add ½ cup sugar to colored sugar from Step 2 to lighten. Mix thoroughly. Add 1 teaspoon egg white or liquid meringue. If desired color is not achieved, continue adding additional ½ cup sugar plus 1 teaspoon egg white or liquid meringue and mixing thoroughly until desired color is achieved. Repeat Step 2. Continue with Steps 2 and 3 until desired shades and number of sugar hearts are achieved. We recommend at least three to five shades. Leftover sugar can be stored in ziplock bags for future use.
Step 4.
Heat oven to 200 degrees. Heat hearts in oven for 10 minutes. Allow to harden overnight. Sugar hearts will be the consistency of sugar cubes.

Design Options:
Place 10-20 sugar hearts in treat bag. Staple ribbon to bags. Tie ribbon. Can be given as gifts or used as favors.
For cake: Attach sugar heats to cake using royal icing. Begin with darkest color on smallest tier. Continue with lighter colors.
These sweet and tasty Do It Yourself Ombré Sugar Hearts were shared with us by Erica O’Brien Cake Design and Brooke Allison Photography. We have a little Ombré Wedding Tote in our WC Shop that would be fabulous with the sweets. Click here for more DIY Edible ideas.
